The Mindful Loaf is a husband and wife baking duo that has humble roots which began with baking to order for neighbors in spring of 2025 out of our home kitchen. This quickly, and much to our surprise, grew to stocking a small self serve stand in the driveway and has now expanded to include our year-round self serve sourdough shed.
We prioritize sourcing high quality, local ingredients whenever possible. All of our wheat, rye, and spelt flours as well as rolled oats are sourced from Maine Grains in Skowhegan and all of our butter is sourced from Kate's Creamery in Arundel. All of our bread products and sweet rolls are leavened using only the power of our homegrown sourdough culture and are fermented for 18-24 hours for that signature sourdough tang. Everything we offer is baked fresh from scratch in our home kitchen.
